Best wedding trends of 2015

Now it’s a long time past 2015 some would say, but let us not forget what went particularly right for weddings during that year so we can make 2016 even better.

Snaps for All

Remember the days when disposable cameras were a thing? You would leave them on the tables for your guests to use, go out to print them and then have to place them all in an album. Try a Photo Booth to make everything that much easier. Instantly printed photo strips of your guests having a great time and all you need to do is leave a blank scrapbook on a table with some markers. Leave it to your friend’s and family to do all the work and give you a custom made guest album full of memories and best wishes. Easy going on the wallet and an innovative addition to your wedding.

Groovy DJs

While there’s nothing wrong with a good old-fashioned band or hiring that very special wedding singer, why not try a DJ? There’s nothing better than a DJ to get your guests up on that dance floor and busting out some moves. Think about working together with your DJ to create a custom playlist including your favourite songs that you and your partner share. And not only will a DJ get your guests pumped but they’ll also be left with a memory of that unforgettable night at your wedding.

Neutral Colours

Last year we saw a reoccurring theme with many weddings. From peach and tan to ivory and black, neutrals were the hottest things in wedding colour schemes in 2015. Sometimes accented with gold these colours would splendidly give a wedding an atmosphere of elegance and class. The use of these colours is easy on the eyes but in no way leaves your wedding feeling bland and colourless. It’s no surprise that brides found this type of colour scheme so appealing in 2015.

Decadent Sweets

From cupcakes to macarons and cake pops to cronuts. We had it all in 2015 and so it seems quite plain and simple that our bride’s soon to be would incorporate these lovely little treats into their big day. These individual little treats are perfect for weddings as guests can help themselves to one or two or three of these delicious treats. If you’re still lost just think coconut cupcake with nutella icing or red velvet macarons and I’ll leave you and your mouth to water.

Bright Lights

It’s surprising how getting something as little as lighting right can make all the difference. In 2015 we saw brides use a myriad of different lights to get their perfect night just right. Outdoor hanging down globes, 1,360 LEDs to illuminate a picture or how about fairy lights to give air a sense of romance? There are so many options and you can make your own special night literally one of a kind just by getting the lighting the way you want it.
